Spring Snow Break: Part Two

A lovely Beyond Reader let us know in her twitter feed that she had posted some pictures of Beyond saying that she wanted to "place her most beautiful magazine in her most beautiful magazine holder" which just makes us feel all warm and ready to face Monday.
We liked the title of this one too called "art on art #1".

Do you have a picture of your Beyond floating somewhere in your place of work or living? Let us know and we'll share the fun.
Beyond's designer, Janine Vangool of Uppercase Gallery, is featuring Penmanship for her Type Tuesday this week.
She has an example of a pre-loved Valentines. We thought we'd join in the fun. We have a vintage postcard book which someone purchased at a shop in Lunenburg, Nova Scotia and sent our way. It's filled with Christmas and Easter postcards but there is one Valentine tucked inside its pages.

Janine of Uppercase Gallery shares her amazing collection of typewriter ribbon tins. This is one of my favorite pieces. Even typing is better in space.
Just a reminder that it is Free Comic Book Day tomorrow. You're welcome.
We're having fun with Flashcan cards featuring some wonderful illustrators including, above, Trevor Van Meter and Beyond friend Aaron Leighton. Aaron and his team just won an interactive media Emmy for his work on The Zimmer Twins. Hurray!
Flashcan cards are:
"...interactive ecards that you build yourself. A slew of talented illustrators have created palettes of characters, text bubbles, and even animated bits for you to construct your own fun and unique ecards. You can send them to friends and foes alike â they will all marvel at your creative message, and may end up sending a card back at you with their own personal twist."
And who can talk about Shatner without including this video clip of Leonard Nimoy singing The Ballad of Bilbo Baggins. Tread carefully. This tends to stick in your head.
Bilbo! Bilbo! Bilbo Baggins
He's only three feet tall
Bilbo! Bilbo! Bilbo Baggins
The bravest little hobbit of them all
Everyone needs a giant map of Springfield. If it's good enough for the Harvard Map Collection...
Go ahead and scribble something.
The Beyond office is so quiet. Sometimes it all feels a bit too quiet but I must admit I do not miss a chatter-filled work environment. The introvert in me loves the Low Morale site. (Thanks Jen.)
Someone is collecting Box Doodles:
the rules are quite simple: rearrange a box to make any kind of figure or object. make the most of least.
