We used to give out a phone number. We even had one of them fancy 1-800 numbers. But then we found, in order to find rhythm and thought and stillness, we had to find some parts of the day that didn't beep or ring.
We kept 8 fingers for email and two thumbs for opening letters but for now, no phone.
